… I just realized that I have this habit of asking ambiguous questions, the answers to which necessitate further questions. For example, I was asking my friend “There won’t be any confirmation mail for the documents we submitted, right?”. If he answers just a Yes or No, I will still be left with confusion. Instead, I would have asked “Will there be any confirmation for the documents we sent?” and just an Yes or No would suffice!

If you do not ask the right questions, you do not get the right answers

For a long time, I have been thinking that dude refers only to males. I am aware that there are two forms of dude to refer to females, ‘dudette’ and ‘dudess’. But, as per the Wikipedia article, in modern English, dude has evolved to be unisex. There is more history to it. Want to know all that? Read it here dude

… while coming to office this morning… while cursing myself for being late again… I saw two kids sitting on a road-side iron bench, blissfully basking under the sun… chatting with each other… I wish I could capture them in my camera… but, the moment is still alive!!!

… as the title goes, the book deals with behavioral economics by investigating about why/how our decisions/thinking is mostly wired. The author Dan Ariely explains/investigates some of our day-to-day decisions in an interesting way. My understanding, about how we take certain decisions in a particular way, is improved after reading this book. It only improved my understanding though my decisions are still irrational, but now it is easier for me to understand though! A nice weekend read. More articles by the author… on his blog.
