At some or the other stage of life, everybody passes through a phase where success is just some sort of ornament and confidence is in-built. Recognition and rewards come in the way just because of that phase, as bi-products. Years just pass by and that phase goes by. But, the tag line stays back. It’s really very convenient to feel good when somebody recognizes you by that tag line. But it hurts so badly inside, because you know it’s already long gone. One way to keep the feel good factor is by recognizing those good qualities during that successful phase which made it successful, and keeping them up. Otherwise, there is no way to escape the traps of false-confidence and becoming a hollow personality!
I read somewhere that it’s never too late to start with a good beginning! I have something to add to it… that good beginning will be permanent once you see a terribly bad ending and never want to see it again!
